NOWACO HISTORY

In 1972, Preben Kurt Nielsen and his wife Juttine set out an ambitious journey, founding Nowaco. With more than 50 years of experience within the frozen food industry, Nowaco has blossomed into a global market leading company, with 180+ employees and more than 20 offices world wide.

This international reach has brought together a diverse team from various nationalities, enriching Nowaco with wealth of perspectives and experiences. The success of the company lies not only in sharp business acumen but also in the core values of the Nielsen family: Dedication, Reliability, Innovation, and Team Engagement, which still are the values that continues to drive the company forward today. 

As a family-owned and independent company, the Nielsens have always been hands-on with the executive management, making sure their values are at the core of the business. This tradition continued with their youngest daughter, Katja Nowak Nielsen, who came on board in 2007 and took over as CEO in 2018 after her father. 

Since Katja's takeover of the company, Nowaco has embraced a more modern organizational practice while staying true to the Nielsens values. Today, Nowaco thrives better than ever before, not just because of its great sales, but because of its dedicated employees, who are the true heart of the business.
